As a Work Planner Mechanical Engineering, you will play a key role in coordinating our maintenance process.
Your tasks include:
- Preparing preventive maintenance and coordinating its implementation to ensure safety and quality.
- Active cooperation with external companies that carry out the maintenance, including assessing quotations and approving work orders.
- Drawing up detailed schedules, monitoring agreements and coordinating any changes.
- Early detection of deviations, risks and complaints, and if necessary updating technical drawings for future maintenance.
- Budget management and careful financial processing, including checking invoices and payments.
- In short, a versatile and challenging position in a unique working environment where every day is different.
You work closely with 11 Installation Managers and 2 Work Planners in the team responsible for coal supply and battery machines. You report to the Technical Team Leader, and in the absence of a fellow Work Planner, you take over each other's work. Knowledge sharing with Work Planners from other departments is also part of your role.
Your factory
The Coking and Gas Factories consist of 2 Coking Factories and 2 Gas Cleaning Factories. The Coking Factories receive coal from external suppliers and make coke from it, which is used as fuel in the Blast Furnaces. The gas that is released during the production of the coke is processed in the Gas Factories and then reused in various factories, for example for heating the Hot Strip Mill. Your team will be the team of coal and battery machines of the Kooks- en Gasfabriek 2.
