We ARE looking for Lead Engineers for one of our customers active in the offshore wind industry.

As a Lead Engineer you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of offshore wind farm projects. You will collaborate with employees of different nationalities and disciplines and you will be located either in Belgium or Netherlands. We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Engineer who can manage (large) offshore installation projects, having both a strong engineering but also installation background.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Being responsible for the engineering, preparation and execution of our projects;
  • Developing method statements for our works before we go execute them offshore;
  • Reviewing and checking work from the engineering department;
  • Reviewing detailed engineering reports, procedures, manuals and method statements;
  • Developing work-packs for the preparatory phase of the project;
  • When on site/on board, optimizing and implementing the method statements in practice and taking the Lead when necessary;
  • Taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the project management;
  • Ensuring planning, reporting, budget control and cost monitoring.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor / Master degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Dredging or Marine Engineering;
  • Preferably a minimum of 5 years’ experience working both office and offshore based on offshore wind farm installation projects (within renewables) in relation to cables, foundations or other relatable offshore disciplines.
  • Experience in offshore wind farm installation projects;
  • Willingness to work abroad on vessels or projects and in the office;
  • Willing to permanently relocate to the Netherlands or Belgium;
  • Fluent in verbal and written English;
  • Excellent team player and a good communicator.
