We ARE Renewables is currently looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer - Tendering
 
The Electrical Engineer- Tendering will have a key focus for submarine High Voltage electrical cables and accessories (FAT/SAT and termination). You will be responsible for the overall coordination of the multidisciplinary effort needed to establish proposals from the pre-qualification phase up to the negotiation phase prior to award. The position is based at an EPCI contractor who installs submarine cables at offshore wind farms.

In this role you will determine the execution plan with the Tender Manager and the actions to be undertaken to achieve the goals of the commercial proposal. Define deliverables to be issued by all departments involved in Tender and ensure interfaces (Tendering, Engineering, SCM, Logistic, Operation, Fiscal, Legal and Commercial). Prepare technical method statements. Prepare or provide input to time schedules and cost estimates. Propose cost optimizations by modifying execution plan and commercial strategy. Ensure adherence to the companies tendering procedures on tenders.
Interface with Tender Manager, all departments involved in the tender process and partners and Clients during the negotiation phase. Maintain thorough records throughout the bidding process to ensure traceability and ultimately efficient handover to project teams. Cost Focus- Finding ways within each tender to maximize the profit for the company. You will be reporting to the Engineering Manager but will work closely with the Sales & Tendering Manager and the tendering team.
 
Requirements:
 
  • The position is open to applicants with various profiles within Oil & Gas or Renewables Industry with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiar with cable installation, FAT and SAT, and cable termination systems.
  • Significant technical experience in Engineering or Operation Departments associated with an first exposure to commercial challenges (Contract/ SCM/ Tendering) would be appreciated.
  • Self-starter capable of working collaboratively from day 1.
  • Good communication skills in English (verbal & written).
  • Able to deliver under time pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Keen interest in the multi-discipline dimension (technology, execution, legal & contract, finance, commercial) of our projects
  • Dedicated and thorough to ensure adherence to the Tendering procedures.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility for other responsibilities & interfacing with other departments, where appropriate.
  • A higher technical education in electrical engineering, or renewable engineering at BSc or MSc level.
 
Contract: Staff or freelance/ consultant
Start: in consultation with the company
Location: Germany, Netherlands or UK, the opportunity is there to work in a hybrid setup combining home office work and working in above offices locations.
